What is the Dixon QB Club?
The Dixon QB Club is a non-profit organization set-up to raise funds to help with costs associated with the Dixon High School Football program.
How does the club raise money?
Approach business owners and organizations for sponsorships and donations. Sell apparel. Host the snack bar at the home games and the Jamboree. Hold fundraisers (i.e., Drive-Thru Dinners, Dine-and-Donate Dinners, and Fireworks booth).
What does the Dixon QB Club pay for?
Football equipment (game/practice balls, Hudl game tape subscription, field headphones, medical/gear kits, tackling pads, drink stations, etc). Uniforms (belts, chin straps, knee pads, gurdles, and new jerseys). Ambulance for JV home games. Transportation to non-league away games. Scholarships to graduating seniors who are going on to college. Year End Awards Reception.
What does DHS and the School District pay for?
CIF Fees, referees, safety costs/equipment (i.e., helmet/shoulder pad reconditioning/replacement), Varsity home game ambulances and league away game transportation. They also receive all the home game gate admissions (except for the Jamboree games).
The Dixon QB Club is not responsible for being the liaison between coaches, parents, and team moms/dads. We do not get involved with hiring decisions, coaching concerns, programmatic issues/decisions. We are here to help raise money for the program so the student athletes can play ball.
